Byron C. Roth, 94, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 2, 2022.


 


 

Byron C. Roth, 94, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was born March 24, 1928, in Drums, PA, the son of the late William and Mildred Swank Roth.


Byron graduated from Hazleton High School in 1946.


He served his country with honor in the United States Army from 1955-1957.


Byron is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Joyce Bohlander Roth. They were married June 25, 1949.


Byron was employed in the United States Soil Conservation Service from where he retired.


He was a member of St. Paul Straub’s Lutheran Church, the Elks Lodge, and the California Grange.


Byron enjoyed hunting, fishing, travel, and gardening. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Byron, Jr. and his wife Kay of Danville: David Roth and his wife Vicky of Lakewood, PA and Allen Roth and his wife Aileen of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Byron is also survived by one sister, Mae Berger of Drums, PA.


Byron was preceded in death by one sister, Blanche Brior and two brothers, Wilson Roth, and Harold Roth.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a walkthrough visitation on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 10am-12pm with a remembrance at 12pm Noon at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc., 42 W Mahoning St., Danville, PA 17821. Burial will be private at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, St. John’s, PA.
