Eric Barry Patterson, 50, of York PA passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.



 



 

Eric Barry Patterson, 50, of York PA and formerly of Danville, PA passed away unexpectedly in York PA, on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was born January 26, 1971, in Montrose PA, the son of the late Richard Wayne and Carol Joan Barry Patterson.


Eric graduated from Danville High School in 1989 where he was a member of the Danville Marching Band.


He also graduated in 1991 from Penn Tech in Williamsport PA where he majored in Forestry.


Eric was a member of the Washingtonville Lutheran Church and a member of Danville-Mahoning Lodge#224 Danville PA.


In earlier years, he was employed by Mann & Parker Lumber Company in the York area as a Shift Coordinator. Later, and until the present time, he was employed as an operator with Proctor and Gamble which then was purchased by Coty in Hunt Valley, Maryland.


Eric loved being raised on a farm especially working with all the animals. Eric was an avid history buff with a special interest in the Civil War Period. He loved Star Wars, listening to music and was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.


Most of all, he will be remembered for being a faithful and devoted father to his five children: Katelynn and her fiancé Brooks Gooch of Nashville TN, Sierra, Mara, Emma and Jacob, all of whom he adored.


He is also survived by his brother, R. Shane Patterson and his fiancé, Vicki Tanner of Danville PA. Also surviving is one niece, Melissa Lopez and two nephews: Matthew and Michael Patterson.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Eric’s life to be held Monday, December 20, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Washingtonville Lutheran Church 10 Strawberry Ridge Road Danville PA with the Reverend Gretchen Johanson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends will be received from 12:00 – 12:45 PM when Danville-Mahoning Lodge #224 will hold Masonic services. The family requests friends and family to wear masks.


The family will provide flowers.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Montour County Historical Society PO Box 8, Danville PA 17821.
