Frances (Fran) Kristina Ciucci (Krystofolsky), 70, of Danville, PA passed away on February 8, 2022

DANVILLE, PA ~ Frances (Fran) Kristina Ciucci (Krystofolsky), 70, of Danville, PA, formerly of Plymouth, PA passed away on February 8 2022 830am at Geisinger. She was born May 11, 1951, the daughter of the late Leon Jacob and Nellie (Kazlauskas) Krystofolsky. Preceded in death by sisters, Loretta Cichon and Alice Glennon. Frances lived a fulfilling life as a mother, grandmother, sister, wife, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.


Fran graduated from Wyoming Valley West in 1969. After high school, Fran went to the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing where she received her Registered Nurse License. Fran was a dedicated and compassionate nurse. Prior to her career at Maria Joseph Manor, Fran was a Home Health Nurse at Wilkes-Barre General and a Registered Nurse at Geisinger. She was employed as a Registered Nurse, a Director of Nursing, and the Administrative Director from 1982 until 2015 at Maria Joseph Manor. In 2000, Fran graduated with her bachelor's degree in Nursing and Health Care Administration from University of Saint Francis in Joliett, Illinois.


Frances was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Danville PA. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, her grandchildren, and her family. Fran loved Notre Dame football, cooking, and traveling.


Frances will be remembered by her husband of 46 years, Thomas Ciucci of Danville, PA. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter: Angela Ciucci of Danville, PA, and one son, Marc Ciucci and his wife Abbien of Collingswood, NJ. Frances has two grandchildren, Nicholas Ciucci of Danville, PA and Archer Ciucci of Collingswood, NJ. Frances is also survived by sisters Alma Butler and husband John, Nellie Mullen and husband Patrick, Ann Tisi and husband Peter, brother-in-laws Frank Cichon and James Glennon. Frances is also survived by brother-in-law Anthony Ciucci, and sisters-in-law Karon Spisak, and Kathy Shannon and husband Steve. Frances is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Saturday Feb 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street Bloomsburg, PA with Reverend Richard J. Mowery as Celebrant. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 10:45AM at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.


The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
