DANVILLE - Helen Clara Kmiecinski Lynn, 88, of Danville PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Nottingham Village in Northumberland PA.

Helen Clara Kmiecinski Lynn, 88, of Danville PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Nottingham Village in Northumberland PA. She was born February 26, 1933, in Danville, PA; the daughter of the late Valentine and Susan Grausam Kmiecinski.
Helen graduated from Danville High School
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years, Walter J. “Sonny” Lynn on August 11, 2008. They were married June 11, 1955.
Helen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Danville PA
She was an exceptionally dedicated homemaker with devotion to her husband and family throughout her life. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, rarely missing any of their sporting events and all of the activities they were involved in. They could always count on her being there for them. At one time, she would make Birthday and Graduation cakes for the family. She loved Bingo, cooking, baking, bowling and sewing. Her welcome mat was always out for the Upper Mulberry Street kids who always enjoyed summers with her. All those who came through her door felt very much at home. She helped put together block parties with the neighborhood mothers and was known for her homemade ice cream when fresh fruit was available. Many loving memories will be cherished by her family, all of whom she adored.
She is survived by two sons; David Lynn and Greg Lynn and his wife Monica and three daughters; Diane Haines and her husband Mark; Janet Dennen and her husband Chris; and Jo Ellen Lynn; all of Danville PA. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Ashleigh Dennen, Zachary Lynn, Alan Lynn, and Travis and Trevor Haines and one great-grandson, Ethan Haines.
She is also survived by one sister: Pauline Roberts. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters: Valentine, Carl, George, William, Edith, Mary, and Hilda. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 68 Center Street. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Danville PA. Friends will be received from 9:00 AM until 11:45 AM at the church.
The family will provide flowers. Because of her love of children and of Danville, memorial contributions may be made to The Montour Area Recreation Commission MARC PO Box 456 Danville PA 17821.
