James C. “Butch” Bressi, Jr., 73, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA. He was born September 30, 1948, in Kulpmont, PA; the son of the late Teresa and James C. Bressi Sr., of Kulpmont PA.
He attended Mount Carmel High School.
He is survived by his loving companion of 29 years, Sandra Lewis of Danville PA.
Jim was employed by Cabinet Industries for 22 years. He was also a truck driver, before retiring.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Slabtown PA.
Jim was an avid high school sports fan, in particular, a huge fan of Southern Columbia Football and Basketball, which is why he got the proud nickname of “Southern Jim”. He will be remembered by many as an avid local sports fan and will be deeply missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored.
In addition to Sandra, he is survived by his son, Patrick Bressi and his wife Jennifer of Catawissa PA and his daughter, Gina Reibsome, and her husband Mark of Danville PA. Also surviving are his three granddaughters: Samantha Longenberger, Lauren Reibsome and Cassie Reibsome and two grandsons: Jacob Bennett and Brandon Bennett as well as one great-granddaughter, Blakely Longenberger. He is also survived by two brothers: Joseph Bressi and his wife Carol of Tampa FL and Raymond Bressi and his wife Theresa of Kulpmont PA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Church 304 Slabtown Road Catawissa PA 17820.
