Julia Ann Huntington, 64, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Feb. 1st.



 



 

Julia Ann Huntington, 64, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She was born February 7, 1957, in Bloomsburg, PA; the daughter of the late Wilbur George Kelley and Phyllis Jean Hummel Kelley of Danville, who survives.


Julia graduated from Danville High School in 1975.


She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Robert Thomas Huntington. They were married June 28, 1975.


Julia was a dedicated homemaker and loved taking care of her family. Julia loved her Lord and deeply loved people. Her kind, generous heart and her love was expressed at numerous times through her baking and cooking.


She was a member of Bloomsburg Southern Baptist Church for 33 years where she served as secretary and on the Fellowship Committee. She will be remembered for her outstanding decorating at the church along with being a faithful card sender to the congregation whenever there was a need.


In addition to baking and cooking, Julia loved her trips to the beach, taking car rides and spotting deer whenever she got the opportunity.


She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and her beautiful smile that lit up a room wherever she went. She will be greatly missed for being the loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt that she was. Numerous friends of her daughter, Becky, lovingly referred to her as their second Mom and many of her neighbors referred to her as Mimi.


In addition to her husband and her mother, she is survived by one daughter: Rebecca “Becky” Huntington of Danville. She is also survived by one sister, Christine M. Griffith and her husband Gary of Lewisburg PA and one brother, Colin P. Kelley and his wife Cindy of Danville PA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Julia’s life Monday, February 7, 2022 (her birthday) at 11:00AM in The Beveridge Family Life Center, First Baptist Church, 12 Brookside Drive (off Route 642 East), Danville, PA. (Lower parking lot entrance). Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Bloomsburg Southern Baptist Church, 108 Welliver Drive, Bloomsburg PA 17815.
