Justin James Ruk, 37, of Harrisburg PA passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021.



 


 

HARRISBURG PA ~ Justin James Ruk, 37, of Harrisburg PA and formerly of Danville PA, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021. He was born January 16, 1984, in Danville PA, the son of Terry L. Long of Springtown PA and Martin J. “Marty” Ruk of Danville PA, both of whom he adored.


He graduated from Danville High School in 2002. He also attended Penn Tech College in Williamsport PA.


Justin was a member of numerous fire companies in the Danville area and the Danville Moose.


He was employed as a Field Service Engineer for Medtronics, Inc./Mazor Robotics.


Justin received lots of joy in riding his Harley. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing golf. An avid sports fanatic, he enjoyed watching Penn State Football and the Las Vegas Raiders. He loved animals, especially his cat companions.


A spirited fun-loving man, he will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and frequently known by his friends as the “life of the party.” A knowledgeable person, he could start conversations with anyone about anything. Justin had a generous and compassionate heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.


Justin is also survived by his loving stepfather, David W. Long and his loving stepmother, Alma E. Ernest. Also surviving are two stepbrothers: Jason and Jordan Shaffer of Danville PA.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a walk-through Celebration of Justin’s Life to be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc., 42 West Mahoning Street Danville PA.

Burial will be private.


The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Danville SPCA 1467 Bloom Road Danville PA.
