Kathy L. Snyder, 64, of Danville, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 23, 2021.



DANVILLE, PA - Kathy L. Snyder, 64, of Danville, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 23, 2021. She was born May 6, 1957, in Sunbury PA, the daughter of the late Glenn and Wanda Belk Haupt.


She graduated from Danville High School in 1975.


She was preceded by the untimely death by her devoted husband of 24 years, Jacob L. Snyder, Sr. who passed away March 21, 1999 at the age of 44.


Kathy was a member of Catawissa First United Methodist Church in Catawissa where she was always willing to help wherever she was needed.


She was self-employed as a welder along with her brother at Haupt’s Welding in Danville PA for over 35 years. Welding with excellence was very important to her and she will be missed by many for her talent.


Kathy enjoyed going to yard sales whenever the opportunity arrived and loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was always blessed by the presence of her cat companion, Waffle.


She will be remembered for her deep faith in God and her strength and resilience in difficult times. Kathy touched so many lives with her selfless, caring and thoughtful presence in their lives. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren who will dearly miss her kindness and loving spirit.


She is survived by one daughter: Tracy L. Harris and her husband Lowell of Danville, PA and her son, Jacob L. Snyder, Jr. and his companion Michele Powell, of Paxinos PA. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Eric Fagley, Jacob Snyder III, Jaycie Powell and Weston Romano; all of whom she adored.


She is also survived by one brother, Glenn “Skip” Haupt of Paxinos PA; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Emma Jean Snyder of Danville PA and several nieces and nephews.


In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lorraine Weaver in 2018.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Kathy’s Life on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 11:00AM at Catawissa First United Methodist Church 228 South Street Catawissa PA with her pastor, the Reverend Sue Rogutski officiating. Friends will be received for a visitation time from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Tuesday evening, September 28, 2021 at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 W Mahoning St., Danville, PA.
