Kevin Peter Roy Duncan Morris, 49, of Danville, PA, went to be with his precious Lord and Savior.


DANVILLE, PA ~ Kevin Peter Roy Duncan Morris, 49, of Danville, PA, went to be with his precious Lord and Savior on Monday, December 12, 2022, at his residence. He was born October 14, 1973, in Mandeville, Jamaica; the son of De’Pass D. Morris of Jamaica and the late Dr. Chloe Winona Duncan Morris, who passed away in September.
Kevin graduated from Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, California with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology where he competed on the Track and Field team. While pursuing a graduate degree, he was hospitalized with a glucose level just under 1800, the result of undiagnosed Type 1 diabetes, which would plague him the rest of his life.
He moved to Northern Virginia in 2004 and to Danville in 2007. Kevin was employed as a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hodrick Realty in Danville PA.
He was married to the love of his life, Gretchen (Andrews) Morris, for 18 years, who survives him. They were married on April 22, 2004.
Kevin attended First Baptist Church of Danville. He also served on the Board of Sunnybrook Park and Pool and was active in Boy Scouts and AYSO.
A selfless person, Kevin loved to lend a helping hand and serve anyone in need. He was a “In Sickness and In Trades” fan of the Miami Dolphins and could be found striking up a conversation with just about anyone regardless of their favorite team. Kevin adored his family and was very proud of his children. He will be greatly missed by them all.
In addition to his wife and father, he is also survived by two sons: Simon and Graden and two daughters Eden and Cana, all at home. Also surviving is one brother, Paulus (Charmaine) Morris and two sisters: Aville and Amoya; two nieces: Tehillah and Jayna; all from Jamaica. He is also survived by his loving in-laws; Jim and Barbara Andrews from Watsontown PA; three sisters-in-law; Adria (Howard) Jones of Danville PA, Adina (Tim) Nielsen of New Hampshire and Devon Hezlep (Will) from Washington; several nieces and nephews and a host of longtime friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Kevin’s Life to be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church., 12 Brookside Drive Danville PA (Off 642 East) with Rev. Dawes J. Dunham officiating. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may made to the Good Samaritan Fund, 568 Ferry Street, Danville, PA 17821.
