Michael Thomas Andress, 45, of Catawissa, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022.


 

 

CATAWISSA, PA ~ Michael Thomas Andress, 45, of Catawissa, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022. He was born August 9, 1977, in Bloomsburg, PA, the son of Ronald H. Andress, Jr. and Colleen M. Achy Gross.

Michael graduated from Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech in 1995.


He was married to his loving wife of 19 years, Julie Schreck Andress. They were married June 21, 2003.


Michael was employed by Hilltops Services, LLC as a Manager for 33 years.


He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, Christmas lights, and was considered the “Holiday King” for his love of holidays. Michael cherished the time he had with his daughters hunting, fishing, and teaching them skills. While Michael was not fond of cats his warm heart always provided a place for them to live. A practical joker, one of his greatest past times was being a prankster. His greatest enjoyment in life was time spent with his family and friends all of whom he adored. Michael will be missed by all greatly.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Courtney Andress and her fiancé Travis Fenstermacher of Bloomsburg, PA and Eliza Andress and her boyfriend Devin Butz of Bloomsburg, PA. Also surviving is one sister; Kelly Andress and her boyfriend Todd Smith of Bloomsburg, PA; one stepsister; Lisa Unger and her husband Rick of Catawissa, PA and one stepbrother; Brian Manning and his wife Tracy of Danville. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother; Ruth Crone Bartlow of Bloomsburg, PA. He is also survived by his stepmom; Brenda Andress and his stepdad, Barry Gross. Michael is also survived by his close friend and coworker, Josh Yost. Several nieces and nephews also survive.


Michael was preceded in death by his best friend and grandfather; Ronald Andress, Sr., and his maternal grandparents; Thomas and Carol Achy.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Michael’s Life to be held on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 11:00am at Strawberry Ridge United Church of Christ, 850 Cardinal Road, Danville, PA 17821 with the Reverend Shawn McNett officiating. Friends will be received from 09:00am-10:45am at the church.


The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Danville SPCA, 1467 Bloom Road, Danville, PA 17821.
