Myron L. Keller, age 89 went to be with his Lord on February 28th, 2022. Myron was born June 18, 1932, in Berwick, PA. He was the son of Charles L. and Blanche (Whitmoyer) Keller.
He graduated from Danville High School in the Class of 1950.
Myron was proud to own his own excavating and trucking business. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and assist anyone in need. He will be remembered for his kind heartedness which he extended to everyone who knew him. He was loved and will be sorely missed.
As an avid hunter, he loved watching the wildlife on his own farm. He also enjoyed feeding the fish in the pond he built.
He was a lifetime member of the Montour Township Fire Department since 1958. He was a volunteer firefighter and served as the Truck Foreman for many years.
A devoted member of St. James United Church of Christ, he served as a Deacon, Elder, Superintendent of the Sunday School, and as the Church Treasurer for 52 years. He used his excavation equipment to help rebuild the old log church built in 1803. He was instrumental in the design and building of the new church in 2005.
Surviving are his three children: Larry L. Keller and his wife, Arla, of Bloomsburg, Diane K. Hackett and her husband, Barry, of Bloomsburg, and Bradley E. Keller and his fiancee, Kathryn Kyricos, of York, Maine. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Jeremy S. Hackett of Bloomsburg; Ava D. Fontaine, Vayleigh A. Keller and Abraham T. Keller all of York, Maine and his friend, Elizabeth “Libby” Kremer, of Danville.
Myron was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary E. Burger Keller in 2010, as well as his three sisters: Martha Keller White, Mary Keller Arnold and Grace Keller Birth and his two brothers: Warren Keller and Harold Keller.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no services.
