SUNBURY, PA ~ Patricia Ann Corrigan, 83, of Sunbury, PA, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at her residence. She was born March 29, 1939, in Riverside, PA; the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Mills Wildsmith.
Pat graduated from Danville Area High School in 1957.
She was married to her devoted husband of 46 years William T. Corrigan. They were married on August 28, 1976.
Pat was formerly employed at the Columbia County Assistance Office. After retiring she became a devoted homemaker for her family, whom she adored.
She was a former member of the Red Hat Society and was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Care Ministry.
Pat enjoyed camping, knitting, sewing, crafting, and crocheting. She was an accomplished organist that played part time at various churches. Pat also loved her five inside cats dearly.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons; George Eichner and his companion Chris of Berwick; Jef Eichner of Bloomsburg; Steven and his wife Joyce of North Carolina and Joseph Eichner of Bloomsburg, PA; three stepdaughters; Sheila McAnnaney and her husband David of Wilburton, PA; Cheryl Hrapowicki and her husband Michael of McEwensville, PA; Sharon Riley and her husband Mike of Danville, PA and one step-son; William Corrigan, Jr. and his wife Betty of Sunbury, PA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren as well as one sister; Lois Ruch of Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by two daughter in-laws; Barbara Eichner and Charlyne Eichner; three brothers; Charles Wildsmith, Ira Wildsmith, Joseph Wildsmith and one sister; Helen Ryan.
The Corrigan family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Geisinger Hospice staff for their compassionate care, with special thanks to Pam and Rachel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 11:00AM at the Queen of Most Holy Rosary Church, 599 West Center Street, Elysburg, PA 17824 with Father Patrick Devine as Celebrant. Friends will be received from 9:00-10:45am in the Parish Center. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, PA.
The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
