Richard Lee Brittain, 55, of Danville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, after a long struggle with illness. He was born November 9, 1966, the son of the late Richard C. and Elizabeth “Betty” Macan Brittain of Danville, PA, who survives.
He graduated from Danville High School in 1985. He also graduated from Perkiomen Prep School in 1986 and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA, in 1990.
Richard was an avid hunter who also enjoyed four-wheeling. In addition, he enjoyed attending car shows and loved showing his car and his trucks, where he was the recipient of several trophies. He was well known for his lighthearted spirit making people laugh whenever he was in their presence. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and his faithful dog, Sammy.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Robin B. Harder and her husband Kurt of Bloomsburg, PA; one nephew: Todd T. Harder and his wife Christina of West Chester PA; one niece, Abigail E. Bishop and her husband Spencer of Street, Maryland, and twin nieces: Madeline M. and Hannah R. Harder; both of Arlington, VA. Several cousins also survive him.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
