Ruth A. (Kline) Raup 88 of Danville passed away at Geisinger Medical Center.

Ruth A. (Kline) Raup 88 of Danville passed away at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA on October 17, 2023.

She was born on October 17, 1935 in Liberty Township; Montour County, PA the daughter of the late Harry Thomas and Annabelle Kathryn Reichard Kline.

She attended Danville schools and was a member of the Class of 1953. She was also a member of the Washies Fire Company. On November 17th, 1961 she married James “Jack” R. Raup who passed away on February 26, 2012 after 50 years of marriage.

She worked over the years at various companies in the Danville area. She enjoyed traveling abroad, going to Disney World, reading and listening to audio books. Recently, she cruised to Nova Scotia and the Bahamas.

Ruth took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren—all of whom will profoundly miss her. She was a giving and devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by a daughter Julie K. Raup of Danville and a son James R. Raup II and his wife Alba and 2 granddaughters Julia and Joanna Raup-Collado all of Lewisburg. Additionally, she is survived by three stepbrothers; Max VonBlohn and Dean VonBlohn (Jane) of Danville and Larry VonBlohn (Jennifer) of Grapevine, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as several cousins.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Kline and two sisters Lois Gabriel and Esther Hettinger.

At Ruth’s request, services will be private and at the convenience of the family
