Ruth Edna Beveridge, 94, of Danville PA, entered into glory Saturday morning, November 20, 2021, at her residence.
She was born September 27, 1927, in Philadelphia PA the daughter of the late Herbert and Carrie Tull Carradice.
She graduated from Olney High School in Philadelphia PA in 1945 and attended Philadelphia Bible Institute.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, the Reverend Calvin R. Beveridge on March 2, 2013. They were married June 18, 1949.
In her earlier years, Ruth was a dedicated homemaker and spent her time taking care of her family at home and helping at the church alongside of her husband. She served as a pastor’s wife for over 67 years. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville where she faithfully served in teaching Sunday School, Pioneer Girls, Vacation Bible School and loved the fellowship of the Friendship Class and loved being a part of the Women’s Bowling League.
She loved the Lord and loved people and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by two sons: Calvin Robin Beveridge and his wife Linda of Lancaster PA and Gary R. Beveridge and his wife Kathy of Northumberland PA and one daughter, Carol R. Beabout and her husband Ronald of Mifflintown PA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Carradice and one sister, Evelyn Myers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church 12 Brookside Drive Danville PA (off 642 East) with the Reverend Dawes J. Dunham officiating. Burial will be held at Columbia Hill Cemetery Danville PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 – 10:45 AM at the church.
The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Missions Fund
