MILTON, PA ~ Sherry Ellen Wise, 74, of Milton, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at her residence. She was born May 3, 1948, in Bloomsburg, PA, the daughter of the late Alonzo and Bertelle Hess Pollock.
Sherry graduated from Danville Area High School in 1966.
She was married for 54 years to her devoted husband, Stanley Lee Wise. They were married on May 6, 1967.
Sherry was employed as a chemical operator for Merck and Company for over 20 years, from where she retired.
She was a member of Victory Life Church in Danville, PA.
Sherry enjoyed her family, camping, fishing, reading, lunch with her friends, and just having a good time.
She will be remembered for her hearty laugh, and a big heart for fun, and bringing joy to those around her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters; Valerie Strayer and Lisa Santiago, and her husband, Angel Santiago both of Milton, PA and one son; Stephen Wise and his wife Elizabeth of Selinsgrove, PA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Rachael Kellett, Michelle Strayer, Melissa Strayer, Alexander Santiago, Gabrielle Johnston, Adisyn Wise, and Kyleigh Wilson and six great-grandchildren; Isaiah Garcia, Lydia Powell, Charity Kellett, Kyla Thomas, Malaki McDaniel, and Everett Santiago. Also surviving is one sister: Betty Pollock Lowery and several nieces and nephews.
Sherry was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Pollock Krum, and brother Robert Pollock.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Going Away Celebration of Sherry’s life to be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 5:30PM at Victory Life Church at 1925 Sunbury Road, Danville, PA with the Reverend Aaron Wright officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
