Thomas J. Ciucci,71, of Bloomsburg PA passed away peacefully.


 
 

BLOOMSBURG, PA ~ Thomas J. Ciucci,71, of Bloomsburg PA and who formerly lived for 47 years in Danville, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at his residence. He was born on April 24, 1951, in Harrisburg PA, the son of the late Peter Joseph and Betty L. Fisher Ciucci.


Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Frances earlier this year, on February 8th. They were married on August 16, 1975, and spent 46 years together. Tom lived a fulfilling life as a father, grandfather, brother, husband, cousin, and friend to many.


Tom graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in 1969. Tom then went on to attend Virginia Commonwealth University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. In 1989 Tom earned his master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Misericordia University.


Tom worked at Geisinger, taught at the University of Scranton and Keystone College, and spent most of his career as an Occupational Therapist in skilled nursing facilities. Tom was a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist.


Tom was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and his family. Tom loved Notre Dame football, Labor Day picnics, and traveling.


Tom is survived by one daughter: Angela Ciucci of Bloomsburg, PA, and one son, Marc Ciucci and his wife Abbien of Collingswood, NJ. Tom has three grandchildren, Nicholas Ciucci of Bloomsburg, PA, and Archer and Sonny Ciucci of Collingswood, NJ. He is also survived by one brother, Anthony Ciucci of Harrisburg, PA, and two sisters, Karon Spisak, and Kathy Shannon and her husband Steve; all of Harrisburg, PA. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Alma Butler and husband John, Nellie Mullen and husband Patrick, Ann Tisi and husband Peter, and brothers-in-law Frank Cichon and James Glennon. Thomas is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Thomas’ Life to be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 11:00AM at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815 with Father Richard J. Mowery as celebrant. Friends will be received from 10:00am to 10:45am. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Geisinger Hospice Memorial Fund, 74 Schoolhouse Road, Suite 104, Danville, PA 17821.
